The AR6 series is even better suited as a park and pipe ski, while seriously improving on all-mountain performance. A new AR Core 1 makes our all mountain park model lighter and stronger. A low maintenance, burly, base and edge assembled using high performance ABS sidewall construction makes this the most versatile park model we offer.
Description
The AR5 has officially been laid to rest, and in its place Armada has introduced its protégé, the AR6. This series still holds true to the intent of the AR5; however, it has undergone an overhaul making it even better suited as a park and pipe ski and also improving its all-mountain performance. The major change in the AR6 is two fold. Armada has widened the dimensions of this particular model to provide skiers with increased stability. In addition, the variable slant sidewall technology used in the past has been replaced with a vertical sidewall. In doing so, excess sidewall material has been eliminated and the core widened, furthering weight savings, overall durability, and providing an increase in edge durability. By incorporating the Armada designed AR1 core along with carbon fiber stringers in the tail, the AR6 is more stable, stronger, and lighter than ever before. All this, combined with the addition of the 166 cm to the line, rounds out the largest, most high performance offering yet from the ski that started the Armada revolution.
The AR6 is simply the one ski in the Armada line that thier athletes cannot do with out.

AR Core 1 - The center and outer edge of the core is targeted with a strong (dense) wood laminate and complimented by hard but stable, lighter 375kg/m3 wood. This provides light weight, strength and snap for increased durability and liveliness.
Torsion Triax Fabric - Special combination of precured fiberglass to optimize torsional stiffness for well-defined turn initiation and carving.
Carbon Fiber Stringer - Embedded in the Torsion Triax Fabric and strategically laid behind the binding through the tail of the ski. The stringer increases pop for ollies, off jumps and in the pipe.
8 Series Top - New nylon top material for added durability and optimal graphic pop.
7 Series Base - Easy to maintain, Armada's new sintered bases provide improved speed and durability.
2.5 Edge Technology - Heat-treated to Armada's specifications, the bigger edges are coupled with extension rails that extend further into the ski's core. This adds resistance against pullout and helps reduce edge cracking due to rail impact. Steel edges are surrounded in rubber that helps stabilize and strengthen edges on those hard rail landings.
Variable Slant Sidewall - An engineered sidewall that has varied angles from 60 degrees in the tip and tail to 90 degrees under the binding. This increases the material above the edge for better rail durability while reducing weight in the tips and tails to lower swing weight.
Progressive Tip/Tail Radius - The tip and tail profile is designed to have a slow, gradual rise to help keep the skis from getting hung up in soft or choppy conditions, and helps the ski track smoothly going into jumps and landings.
