Description

When Armada was introduced, they introduced two models - one for park and one for the steep and deep. The ARV was our original ski for the all-mountain arena and is left standing as the only model still in the line since our inception - of course with a variety of improvements. If you ski all over the mountain but ride the park on occasion, then this is the ski for you. This year we shaved weight and added more vertical stiffness with the re-designed AR Core 2 and heat-treated 2.5 Impact Edge. A gererous sidecut and stiffer flex profile keeps the ARV stable at high speeds, while remaining nimble. Fully twin-tipped, lightweight, and finished with craftmanship, the ARV is truly our high-performance all-mountain ski.

The Armada ARV Alpine Skis are as tough as park boards, as stable as big-mountain sticks, and far cheaper than buying two pairs of skis. This new more stable ride is brought to you courtesy of hefty dimensions, extra-thick edges and super-tough base material. Get spinny in the backcountry, and know that a wide twintip tail has your back. Billy-goat over sharp pointy rocks with confidence that your boards will remain stable underfoot, thanks to the wider dimensions with a lighter wood core. Once you're in the untouched chute of glory, the progressive tip shape will help the ARV float to the top, while the solid flex begs to accelerate. These skis are bomber, and they're the only pair you'll need. Bottom Line: Take your skis anywhere.

Features
  • Dimensions: 165 cm - 120/89/109; 175 cm - 125/92/114; 185 cm - 130/95/119cm
  • AR Core 2 - The outer edges of the core are targeted with a strong (dense) wood laminate, without the hardwood center. Provides durability and pop with additional weight savings.
  • Torsion Triax Fabric - Special combination of precured fiberglass to optimize torsional stiffness for well-defined turn initiation and carving.
  • Carbon Fiber Stringer - Embedded in the Torsion Triax Fabric and strategically laid behind the binding through the tail of the ski. The stringer increases pop for ollies, off jumps and in the pipe.
  • 8 Series Top - New nylon top material for added durability and optimal graphic pop.
  • 7 Series Base - Easy to maintain, Armada's new sintered bases provide improved speed and durability.
  • 2.5 Edge Technology - Heat-treated to Armada's specifications, the bigger edges are coupled with extension rails that extend further into the ski's core. This adds resistance against pullout and helps reduce edge cracking due to rail impact. Steel edges are surrounded in rubber that helps stabilize and strengthen edges on those hard rail landings.
  • Progressive Tip/Tail Radius - The tip and tail profile is designed to have a slow, gradual rise to help keep the skis from getting hung up in soft or choppy conditions, and helps the ski track smoothly going into jumps and landings.
