Description

The Freeride is considered by many to be the ultimate dual-sport binding for front and backcountry users. A max DIN setting of 12 will keep big bruisers clicked in when the going gets rough. An all-new Teflon anti-friction plate releases more predictably, whether your sole is alpine or lugged, and the redesigned heelpiece is easier to engage with your pole. The four-position heel riser and predictable climbing pivot point enable snappy kick turns and near vertical traction. Overall, the simple design gives the Freeride unequaled power and performance. It's tried and true which is why they are one of the leaders in AT performance skiing.

Fritschi Says: Fitness and materials determine whether a day in the mountains will turn out perfect or not. Modern equipment has changed the rules, allowing steeper ascents and wilder, faster descents. That also puts far greater strain on the body, which is why Diamir bindings make no compromises in terms of safety and functionality. Safety takes precedence over the demand for ultimate weight reduction.

Diamir bindings are easy to operate in every situation, which lays the foundation for safety. On steep traverses and descents, torsional rigidity and stability play an important role. Good energy transmission and sophisticated safety releases are decisive advantages on the descent.

The company Fritschi was originally founded by Albert Fritschi in the Kandertal Valley in 1960. Initially a mechanical workshop, the company moved into the field of ski bindings manufacture in the late sixties when it began serial production of plate bindings. As time went on, the company amassed considerable expertise in the development and production of innovative binding systems. Today the company is owned by the brothers Andreas and Christian Fritschi.

A staff of 50 are employed at the company's headquarters in Reichenbach/Kandertal, working to the very highest standards of quality and reliability on the development and manufacture of high-tech bindings. Their greatest motivation is the satisfaction of providing products of top-class functionality and attractive design which meet customers' needs.
