Ryan Says: Stance option limitations on Vapor's of past years was the main reason I had a hard time recommending this board. Now with the addition if ICS(Infinite Channel System), there are more stance options than you can throw a stick at. This definitely improves the ride. Dialing in your stance, to be as neutral as possible, is very helpful on a board w/ a "Twin Flex". Now any size dude can get the ride he wants from the Space-age deck of the future.

NOTE Ryan Says:I was skeptical at best when I first saw the ICS tech. I thought: Gimmick, it will never last, too exclusive. I was very wrong! ICS boards have to be ridden to be understood. All of the performance of the legendary Burton designs we all love, with added infinite adjustability. Burton is the industry leader for a reason. Take note the bar has been raised. The NEW ICS Tech is truly and improvement over the original 3D.

NEW ICS: "Infinite Channel System":This new binding mount system gives the rider the ability to adjust binding angles and width in micro increments or quickly at the hill. Find your perfect stance and place your feet "exactly" where you want them. Place them "neutral" for the park or "set-back" to eliminate nose dive in pow.
NOTE:The ICS system works with both EST and standard 3D BURTON ONLY bindings. ICS compatible discs are included with every ICS board. These work exclusively with BURTON bindings.

NEW Carbon Vaporskin LiteUtilizes the same tech. used on NASA space shuttles to shave additional weight while maximizing snap and strength. Subtract glass, add carbon, carry the stoke and you get a board so lightweight it feels like your riding on air.
Sintered N2O WFO Base - Burton takes the highest grade sintered material and saturates it with both a high and low temperature-reactive wax to create a pre-conditioned, wax-impregnated base that provides ultra-fast glide over any snow condition imaginable. The regenerative properties of the high and low-melt waxes mean this base stays Wide Open all season long.
Alumafly Core - The Alumafly core is 90% air by volume and represents the perfect union of high-grade aerospace technology and EGD . The 3D© profiled tip-to-tail aluminum honeycomb construction combines engineered performance and strength in an ultra-lightweight core that provides a snappy, non-organic ride as a high-performance alternative to wood cores.
Infinite Ride© - The Industry's first and only process of its kind, Infinite Ride© allows Burton to manufacture a snowboard that maintains a consistent feel season after season with enhanced durability their competitors can't touch. During this process they put each board through conditions similar to those found during a hard-charging season on snow. Think of it this way: Just as some car manufacturers run the engines on their cars for 1,000 miles before you even drive it off the floor, Burton overbuilds a board and puts it through a performance-enhancing torture test that allows the board to retain its shape and ride characteristics throughout its life. Negative Core Profile - The majority of Burton's line exhibits a negative core profile. The thinner section of core between the bindings provides softer flex and torsion, letting riders exert a higher degree of independent foot control. Ever wonder what it would feel like to snowboard on the moon? The Burton Vapor will get you as close to that as possible by being the lightest weight board that Burton makes with top end performance. The Vapor's core is made of 90% air! How could it get any lighter? Using a "Vaportech Alumifly Core," the Vapor is made of an aluminum honeycomb from tip to tail. Along with the super light weight core, they have done many other things to make this board the lightest on the market, all the way down to reducing the weight of the top sheet. Carbon I beams, running the full length of the board, make the Burtons Vapor one of their most aggressive feeling boards that Burton makes. This year they also came out with new sizes of the Vapor, including a 163 wide for the bigger rider wanting to drop the weight of his wide board.
