For those who prefer the feel of laces, the DC Ghost is a good as it gets. It's our top of the line lace-up boot and it's built for the all mountain rider in addition to new aesthetics on the outside of the boot, you'll also notice the external skeleton in the back of the boot. It's there to give additional support without sacrificing flexibility.
Description
For experienced, All-mountain riders like Devun Walsh, DC offers one of the stiffest boots they make—the Men's Ghost Snowboard Boots. New for 2008, the GHOST features a sole equipped with CTR? and a super-light and cushiony phylon midsole. The articulated construction of the GHOST's upper grants unbelievable flex and support -it'll seem like an instant break-in with negligible heel lift. An arch shank supports the foot, and the thermoplastic urethane panel on the side helps both support the ankle and protect the boot. The GHOST comes stock with DC's Alpha liner which means the GHOST brings the Air, the Gel, the Heat. We've constructed the GHOST's sole for maximum traction in the snow, with the added bonus of CTR? technology for cat-like grip when the temperature dips.
Also new on the DC Ghost- and on all of DC's 2008 lace-ups, for that matter- are double lace loops. Now there are two lacing points at the fifth eyelet, first allowing for a customizing fit and later providing an additional point to tighten down your boots as they break-in. Simply put: long lasting support.
Features
- Foam Padding: We lined the boots calf area with soft, comfortable padding to help keep your calves from getting tenderized and the flex of the shin to the legs.
-
-
Articulated Upper Cuff: The articulated upper construction provides excellent support without sacrificing flex. It gives you more lateral and forward flex-its like instant boot break-in.
-
-
Internal Ankle Brace:The Adjustable internal ankle brace laces up and secures the liner inside the boot. This helps prevent heel lift and provides a snug fit.
-
-
3D Tongue: The Boot Tongue is ergonomically engineered to conform to the natural curvature of the lower leg. Normally the shell of snowboard boots is sewn in two spots to accommodate the curve and the flex of the shin to the leg; with 3D tongue, the construction is seamless to offer flexibility instead of creating pinch points or hot spots as the front of the leg curves in the boot.

CTR: Cold Temperature Rubber is yet another exclusive DC TEchnical innovation when the temperature falls to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. The CTR compound hardens to form traction-enhancing spikes. CTR is available on select DC boots.

Injection EVA Midsole:Our newest outsole, the injection EVa midsole, is approximately 40% lighter than a typical outsole. WE have kept all the important traction and supportive elements while eliminating all the extra non-essential weight and materials. Giving you the lightest and most functional outsole on the market.
