The DC Scout Snowboard Boot was inspired by DC's skate shoe aesthetics, and for 2009 we gave it a face lift to keep its styling on point. The Scout also makes the BOA Lacing System available at and entry level price. The Scout has a water-resistant synthetic leather upper designed to help keep moisture where it belongs: outside your boot. The boot's interior features a foam pad in the calf area for increased comfort. Just like that; a more comfortable boot that's lightweight. The sole has been designed for great traction in the snow.
Description
The DC Scout draws upon DC's heritage in skateboarding and brings the classic skate shoe aesthetics to the mountain. This year DC has upgraded the popular Scout by including the Coiler Boa Lacing System™. The technology automatically retracts loose Boa cables, meaning you won't be spinning the Boa reel to get in and out of your boots. Simply put: even less time lacing and even more time riding. The Scout also features upgraded premium materials on the synthetic leather upper. DC also included a heel pull strap for easier boot installation, and the Scout's sole is extremely functional for slippery winter conditions.
Fit Tip: All Boots seem to stretch out about 1/2 size. It is normal to have a smaller Boot size than your shoe size to compensate for the boots stretching and getting "BIGGER" from how they feel in the store.
-Make sure to work with a boot tech person to fit the boot to the "SHAPE" of your foot. Fit Shape is vital to the performance of any brand of boot. Be sure to walk around in the boots(10-15min) fully laced to help make sure they are the correct shape for your foot.
-For improved fit and comfort consider adding a CUSTOM FOOTBED like "Superfeet" that is properly matched to your arch shape. This will help the boot anatomically support your foot which will reduce pressure points and securely hold your foot in place.
