Down delivers lofty warmth with minimal weight over a lifetime of use. Tiny filaments on each down cluster make it a unique insulator. Millions of these filaments interlock and overlap to form a layer for still air that keeps warmth in and cold out. Extremely resilient, down can be scrunched up for storage and packing. With just a good shake, it quickly bounces back to its original performance level.
