The Silencer is an all-mountain pipe and park ski built to ski all over the mountian like its big brother, the Public Enemy. The Silencer has a slightly narrower footprint and cap construction design for response and agility. The all black tone on tone design keeps it ultra low-profile and will quiet even the toughrest critic.
Description
Silence the competition at the park, in the pipe, and deep in the pow with the K2 Silencer Alpine Ski. This super low-profile, freestyle ski prides itself as the little brother of the K2 Public Enemy. But as is true with all familys, the Silencer is the black sheep at reunions. The slightly narrower footprint and cap construction design give the Silencer Ski improved response in the park without losing the Enemy's dominant all-mountain control. Using K2's tried and true taxial braiding technology, interlocking strands of fiberglass are spun around the wood core in order to give you pop to go huge and stability to stick the landings an a smooth ride everywhere else. With K2's low-profile design, your critics will be hushed.

Torsion Box: Our Torsion Box construction is our most widely used, yet simplest lay-up. This construction is a Triaxially braided wood core ski. Braided Torsion Box skis tend to have lively and energetic characteristics that provide a high degree of rebound and performance. A Triaxially Braided wood core ski is still the bench mark and we continue to use it so widely because of its versatility and its ability to create so many different kinds of skis depending on the amount of flex and torsion designed into the construction. Build from top down: Glass, MOD Structure, Glass, Triaxial Braided Wood Core, Glass,Steel Edges/Base.

Triaxial Braided: Triaxial Braiding was introduced by K2 in 1988 and has withstood the test of time to rise to the top as the best torsion box construction process available. The patented and proprietary technology wraps an interlocking fiberglass weave around the skis wood core at 38 degrees to provide a strong, lightweight ski with optimum torsional stiffness. The end result is a ski with greater sensitivity and better turn response with less effort
