The Rossignol Phantom SC80 freeride ski is for expert skiers who want a totally versatile ski. The ski is now 80 in the waist instead of 78mm giving the Rossignol Phantom 80 skis even more flotation in crud and powder. This ski is made for 50% Piste and 50% off-piste. The Rossignol Phantom SC80 skis have the new dampening system. The Free Absorber Technology (FAT) is made from integrating aluminum and Visco components into the construction of the ski. The Visco is for vibration absorption and dampening, which reduces shocks and vibrations. Also in the new Rossignol Phantom SC80 skis have Shark Nose Technology. The Phantom SC95 and SC108 utilize Rossignol's new Shark Nose technology. An aluminum insert integrated into the tip of the ski increases torsional rigidity for more control at high speeds. This allows the ski to push through inconsistent snow without being deflected.

• Shockwalls - The sidewalls are made from two overlaid materials. The top component is compressible and dampens shocks beneath the binding, thus protecting the skier and the ski.
