It's official! Mt. Bachelor's July Ski weekend is back for Summer 2017! No need to wait 'til the snow falls next winter to get your skiing and riding fix. Join Mt. Bachelor July 2nd through 4th for skiing and riding from the 9,065' summit. Many seasoned skiers and riders may recall skiing in July at Mt. Bachelor in the past. With so much snow this winter (~600" at mid-mountain), Mt. Bachelor has awakened a tradition.

JulySki will start from the Sunrise Base Area - tickets, rentals and parking will be available 07:30am - 01:30pm Sunrise lift will start spinning at 08:00am with Summit open until 01:00pm Sunrise Lodge will have refreshments to start your morning off right and at the base of Summit sandwiches, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase during the day.

Once you've wrapped up your morning skiing and riding head over to West Village to enjoy mountain biking off Sunshine and a BBQ on the West Village deck, or even take a scenic chairlift ride to the top of Pine Marten and soak in the views.

Join the Oregon Track Club for Track Town's 4th of July celebration. There is something for everyone, with a competitive 10K, a 5K, and a 4 mile walk, a challenging course, and awesome t-shirts. Eugene's most popular road race continues its long tradition and ignites the holiday fireworks! All proceeds go to charity.

Altair started as a ski club (Altair Ski & Sports Club) but has expanded to include year-round outdoor and indoor activities, including skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, bowling, volleyball, golf, and rafting. In addition to sports activities, Altair sponsors a wide variety of social events and out-of-town trips, including barbecues, card games, ballroom dance lessons, and theatre and dinner parties. Altair additionally contributes to community service projects, including fund-raisers for such groups as Food for Lane County and Relay for Life.

Altair is an all-volunteer army of dedicated members, working hard, and having fun. All scheduled activities are the result of member initiation and energy.

Hoodoo Challenge

"Run to the Top" Hoodoo Challenge

The Hoodoo Challenge is a half marathon for runners and walkers that starts at the Corbett Parking area off Hwy 20 and ends at the top of Hoodoo. The course follows scenic trails with views of Island Lake, Link Lake, and Sand Camp Lake with a 1,035 foot climb. Runners will then walk back down the mountain for an apres-race party at the Hoodoo Lodge parking area.

This race is put on by the Sisters Kiwanis Club.
All proceeds go to charity.

Featured in the August 2014 issue of Runner's World Magazine, this is one of the highest foot races in Oregon, and one of the greatest mountain run courses in the US. Covering many types of terrain over 12K of trail, mountain slope, and just a bit of road, the entire race is above 5000 feet in altitude, and boasts 4000 feet of total elevation change.

Check-in and day-of registration starts upstairs at 9:00am at the Wy’East patio, overlooking the finish line. Timberline Lodge will provide a hotdog bar with cold beer and soda featuring Mt Hood Brewing Company's finest around 11:00am. The preliminary awards ceremony will be around Noon. The course is a single clockwise loop, starting out front of Wy'East Lodge and finishing under the Wy'East patio.
