The CAPiTA Navigator got an overhaul for the 2023 season, making this board more friendly on the groomers and smoother overall. Though the old Navigator held an edge on the groomers a little better, it was less friendly edge-to-edge. The new Navigator is more playful while still being energetic while cruising the groomers. But we know you aren't looking at the CAPiTA Navigator for a groomer board, though it's nice to know the ride back to the lift won't suck, so let's talk pow! This Navigator can still handle steeper lines and faster turns, but has a smoother turn when slicing the powder. The sidecut is just ideal whether laying over the perfect surf turn from your back foot or cutting hard through a tight squeeze in the trees. Damp in the nose, lively underfoot, and float for days. That pretty much sums up the CAPiTA Navigator nicely.

The intermediate or better rider looking for one board that’s good at everything. Can rip groomers, slash pow, and take park laps, but doesn’t specialize in anything either so it may not be the best, but is by no means the worst. 

Technical Features

Directional w/ Taper

Tail width is slightly tapered narrower than the nose width. This loosens up turning initiation on the groomers for a smoother and easier ride without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack. This also improves floatation in deeper snow by reducing the surface area in the tail, allowing the tail to sink lower so the nose can rise above the pow for a surfier ride. This also helps to reduce back leg fatigue, so you can stay out longer on those perfect days.

Resort V2 Directional Camber

This revolutionary all-terrain shape provides the best of both worlds. A combination of traditional camber, zero camber, and reverse camber. It has a raised camber platform through the inserts to retain high-speed edge hold through variable terrain, elevated contact points to land and float in powder, and Flat Kick tip and tail arcs for faster, more aggressive transitions.

Parabolic Radical Taper Sidecut

A parabolic sidecut consists of a mirror-symmetrical curve. In snowboard terms, this design creates a board with a deeper sidecut and a quicker turning point in the center compared to radial arcs. Engineered for deep powder but still versatile around the mountain, this radial sidecut is complemented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while the wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.

Dynamic and durable, easy to maintain and reliable, this base material is electric through the trees and fast over the flats. Featuring attributes of both sintered and extruded base material the POWDER DRIVE™ base was exclusively formulated for the extra-wide chassis of the Spring Break Powder Division and was designed with the powder lifestyle in mind.

Hover Core™

An energetic core that that is built with Paulownia and Poplar to be ultralight and strong with excellent dampening properties.

Holysheet™ Tri/Bi Fiberglass + Magic Bean™ Resin

Tri/Bi Holysheet™ has higher glass to weight ratio than normal fiberglass. Impregnated with high performance plant based Magic Bean Resin™ for the most powerful and dynamic ride. This adhesion process improves the factory’s working environment, as it does not contain some of the same harsh chemical characteristics used in resins at other factories around the world. This configuration uses an optimum blend of 626g/m2 Biaxial fiberglass laminated in conjunction with structural additives to customize performance objectives.

Inlaid Cork Dampeners

Built into the topsheet of the board to reduce chatter on the nose to help you blast through pow and choppy snow at high speed with increased confidence.

2 x 30 mm Technora™ Flax Boosters

With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, Technora™ is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. CAPiTA have interwoven Technora™ with an extremely lightweight and all-natural Flax fiber to invigorate every construction combination for maximum turning and ollie power.

PLT Topsheet Technology™

This is magical because the rest of the world mashes their topsheets on with glue, heat and pressure during the pressing stage. Doing so causes the fiberglass structure underneath to show through the topsheet. And because nobody wants to spend their hard earned cash on a bumpy snowboard, many companies slather their tops with a thick toxic lacquer to smooth things out. Not only is that shit HEAVY and can potentially develop unsightly hairline cracks, it’s also really unhealthy for the working environment.
